Ever since The Simpsons began there have been hardcore fans and dedicated devotees. Ever since there have been what we fans call Simpsons freaks there have probably been websites spreading the word of this TV show, the longest running animated show ever, bringing Fox keen viewers and new ones for other programs. However, you have decided to be very touchy with the use of copyright Simpsons materials, which have eventually driven some of the greatest fan sites of the show off the net, including nohomers.net, the second best Simpsons site on the web, with a rating of 91.7\%. By leading these websites to the grave you are losing publicity for the show. In fact, if it werent for reading about the layers of humor, the mix of intelligence, and finding all these devoted webmasters, I may not have become such a huge fan of the show. If it werent for watching The Simpsons eleven times a week, I may not have developed interest in other Fox shows like American Idol and Malcolm in the Middle. I may have passed them off as ore trashy reality shows or typical sitcoms. By forcing these fan sites with fans of their own, youre losing publicity, youre winning hate, and youre closing down some of the best of the net. Personally, I think the official site is lacking some of what I really want. Its more information, less dedication. Nohomers.net, for example, was full of games, pictures, character profiles, and news, a mixture of fandom and information. Had Fox cooperated with some of the better sites, there would not be as many angry fans. If you could deal with them using copyright items without making money of off them, and of course giving credit to Fox and The Simpsons itself, perhaps we wouldnt be in this mess.
The below signed agree that Fox should cooperate more with fan sites of The Simpsons rather than driving off publicity by driving off wonderful internet locations like nohomers.net.
