The North County Recreation Complex on Redman Road is a vital part of the North County environment. The ice skating rink is a major part of the complex, providing ice time for figure skating, three synchronized skating teams, two high school hockey teams, and club ice hockey, plus public session times for exercise and relaxation for anyone in the community. St.Louis County is planning to renovate the complex, but the plans do not include keeping an ice skating rink because county officials do not feel there is enough interest.
