SaveKids Ireland is an online community of concerned members of the Irish public who have decided to unite in numbers to demand changes in the current laws that govern child abuse.
The aims of the campaign is to demand changes in the laws as follows
* The introduction of a mandatory minimum sentence of 6 (six) months imprisonment for the perpetrators of child abuse.
* The introduction of a maximum penalty of life, which should mean life
* The establishment of a treatment centre in each county of the island of Ireland to treat the victims of child abuse.
* The introduction of a tagging system
These demands are simple and minor, when it comes to comparing with the most important days of any body's life, their childhood.
It is estimated that one in every four children are abused on a daily basis. By making these changes, you will contribute massively in saving the life of a child.
