NBC Universal runs a charity called Autism Speaks, which seeks to create an Autism database for Autistic people, cure Autism, and pushing law makers to fund questionable treatments for Autism. They describe Autism as a brain disease or a disorder among other things, and portray Autistic people as a tragedy and a burden for families and they feel that we want or need to be cured in order to live meaningful lives. They have littered their message on their family of networks and money that has been going to their company has been going towards their cause.

Many people, such as the undersigned, believe that Autism is not a disease or disorder, but instead a different form of brain wiring. Many autistics are living independent lives despite people like NBC saying otherwise. In order to make our message clear, we will refrain from watching the upcoming Olympics on the NBC family of networks. We will find other sources of media to watch the Olympics to take a stand against NBCs anti-autistic agenda.
