The Australian Government is conducting a Review of Access to Telecommunication Services by People with Disability, Older Australians and People Experiencing Illness.
For the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, this means a review of the National Relay Service, Video Relay Service, Captel and WebCaptel.
We need to see these services increased. we especially want Video Relay Services, Captel and WebCaptel to become 24 hours, 7 day a week services.
there are 1 in 6 Australians with a hearing loss, increasing to 1 in 4 by 2050 (Access Economics Listen Hear! report) so WE NEED THESE SERVICES!!
