It is with a great deal of frustration that we writers are asking that the reporting system for stories, lot and sims be changed. As it was well illustrated this week, a few nasty and malicious people can easily abuse the system, and its down right unfair to many of our hard working writers. We put a lot of time and effort and yes, a little bit of our souls into our stories. To have them disappear in the blink of an eye just because of an unfair system is not only disheartening, but it puts Maxis in a bad light. The recent incidents where several five star stories were inappropriately hidden or removed have some writers talking about quitting and some have quit all together. Its a sad moment for the exchange, which could be described as a gem for Maxis. Thats why we, who have signed our names below, are asking for change. We think two complaints arent enough to hide someone's story. It should be at least 10 unique complaints (not from the same person). Someone should actually "read" the story that has a complaint or at least run it through some kind of censor program that will catch certain inappropriate words.
Without some kind of change, more and more writers will get frustrated and quit, and eventually only the nasty and malcontent people will rule the exchange. How much of a gem will it be then?

Hard work shouldn't be erased, but enjoyed. My work is on the exchange for those who wish to enjoy it, and how can that be done if it is reported maliciously by others who lack appreciation?

Please put all stories back to the exchange. Everyone worked really hard on it and probably now, they are all mad cause some of their stories are gone or on check-ups. It really isnt fair to the people out there working

I think this is unfair, and an unstable environment, with random events, and simmers that work hard, may have their stories taken off of the exchange, for no reason at all! I think that we should recieve an email if our story
