Several years ago I witnessed the coolest show I have ever seen on Fox, SPACE: Above and Beyond. The creators of the X-Files took the basic concept of the "Starship Troopers" novel and expanded characters with real feelings and emotions. Characters were in real danger, and some even died. The show tackled hard-hitting concepts like honor, duty, racism, revenge. This show was great because the good guys spend most of the time losing! How many shows have you seen that depict that? Every show was emotionally impacting with fully realized character arcs and top-notch special effects. This show definitely deserved more than one season, but its time slot was moved all over heck so even devoted fans had a hard time keeping track of it. Please sign this petition if you are interested in Fox Home Video creating a box set for the season, much like they did for the Planet of the Apes series. A Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack would certainly be welcome ( I can just hear those hammerheads flying around), as well as some behind the scenes footage of filming. A Chris Carter commentary (at least for the pilot) would be great too. I assume 1.33:1 is inevitable, but perhaps widescreen anamorphic is possible? Hey, who expected V to get it? Please help bring this awesome series home in the best form possible.
