stop microsoft banning older and third party messenger clients

We the undersigned believe that Microsoft are going too far with banning older versions of msn/windows messenger and third party clients. We believe that the users should use any client they so wish even third party programs including but not limited to Trillan, AMSN and other clients as well as versions of msn messenger below 4.7. for some users they can not install the lastist version because it crashes their machine and/or they run a version of windows older then 98.

Why would you only allow usage of MSN version 6.0? I love this older version and I would like to keep it without having to pay for it nor would I like being FORCED to use another messenger which I do not approve of.

Idiotic idea, I like the older, sleeker, less buggy version. Not I, or anyone, should be forced to use a less stable, more memory hogging, and less compatible version. Due to this stupid policy I can currently not use ANY version of MSN Messanger.

My wife Carleeta uses a braille display with Jaws 4.01 and gets confused with the more graphical later versions. If it is possible to turn the extra graphics off, then we can use the newer versions
