We UNDERSTAND Venice's many challenges to make our streets safer and more welcoming.

We ACCEPT our role as stakeholders responsible for our welfare and to help our governors govern.

We BELIEVE no "magic bullet" can resolve issues whose solutions demand our good will, hard work and patient resolve.


We REJECT the City's attempt to demand an onerous tax from owners and renters.

We REJECT the City's effort to keep Venetians from working together on safe solutions for all.

We REJECT the City's invitation to costly and long-term legal battles with the State - which our City cannot afford, and which it will lose.


We SUPPORT full, fair and legal steps to achieve a safer Venice for all residents.

We SUPPORT real solutions, as does our Neighborhood Council.


We, the undersigned, URGE our Council Office to SAY "NO" TO THE VENICE PARKING TAX.
