It is disheartening that a company that is supposed to be in the business of serving the community by loving and caring for our dogs would attempt to put the people we rely on to love and care for our dogs out of business. Not only is he attempting to extinguish the true spirit of free enterprise from an individual, but attempting to gain financially by his demise. We need your help to convince the courts that this cannot come to pass, that they are here for the people and to help the people.
The owner of the Paw Stop took advantage of his minimum-wage employees with zero benefits in making them sign a non-compete agreement preventing them from working in the pet industry in any capacity within a ten-mile radius of Manhattan for a period of two years after employment at the Paw Stop! Brian Mestre, a boy from Queens, unfamiliar with the nature of a non-compete agreement, did not understand the extent of the agreement he signed on for work. This is why we need your help; help us get this thrown out of court!
Please join us in asking the The New York Supreme Court to do the right thing and throw this case out of court. Help fight for the right to work in New York City even if you decide to change your job!
