We, the Gil Sellers and Gil Buyers of Final Fantasy XI are tired of the bashing of our actions. A day does not go by where some moron makes a topic bashing gil buyer/sellers for ruining the entire game.

- Gil Sellers do not ruin the game. We make our money just as anyone else in the game does; you can hardly tell who we even are. Mad because we took a NM from you that you had been camping for hours? Prove that it was a Gil Seller that took it, and not just a normal player. You can't, because both groups of people do the same thing. Just get over that you lost out to another player and try again, as any other player would do, instead of blaming it on a Gil Seller and giving us a bad name.

- Gil Buyers do not ruin the game. The argument is that they purchase gil and thus don't have a problem spending more on an item at the Auction House than someone that does not buy gil, thus causing the prices to raise. This is rediculous. The very reason we buy gil is because the price has already been raised, and it is far more efficient to pay someone else for the time it took them to raise the gil than to do it ourselves. Ever pay someone to cut your lawn or fix your car? You could take the time to learn how and do those things, but it is more efficient and productive to pay someone else to do the same if the option is there.
Gil Buyers are efficient and, by buying gil, we do not wish to throw it away. We will not bid more than what the asking price already is. We do not raise prices on AH, those that sell at exorbitant rates do. To insinuate that the skyrocketing price of an item is soley the fault of Gil Buyers is a farce, because there is no way to tell if the person(s) that last bought the item purchased gil and thus, we Gil Buyers cannot be held liable.

In closing, Gil Buyers/Sellers are not ruining the game. The service is there in nearly all MMORPGs, and rightfully so. It assists players in achieving their goals without weeks of downtime spent gathering money themselves. And the companies behind the games stand to gain more money if the player is satisfied in what he or she is doing. Who wants to spend a week gathering gil when they can spend $15 for 100K gil? The bottom line is it hurts nobody, no more than players who do not participate in these actions hurt everyone else.

So quite whining, give up your Crusades to get us all banned, and either join in or get over it. You're wasting time you could be spending farming for gil :P
