Support King George Junior Public School gain a 3rd Kindergarten Classroom

Please help our school to gain a 3rd kindergarten classroom it desperately needs. King George Junior Public School currently has two (2) JK/SK split classes with a total of 61 students. Therefore the number of students per class are thirty (30) and thirty-one (31). With these class sizes it becomes more about crowd control and less about a happy & safe introduction to our children's long school career.
The Toronto District School Board’s goal is to obtain an average class size of 26 students per class but lists no maximum. Last year at King George there were approx. 63 kindergarten students and 3 JK/SK classrooms with approx. 21 students per class. This was a much better ratio for both students & staff alike. It is my understanding that there is even an empty classroom available.
A decision will be made tomorrow (Friday, September 13, 2013) by the Toronto District School Board whether King George will receive an additional kindergarten teacher. So far it is not looking like they will receive one.
