Support More Housing Near Roosevelt Station

To: Seattle City Council, Mayor McGinn, Diane Sugimura
Sirs and Madams-

We the undersigned are very much concerned about the Roosevelt Area Rezone. We think the draft plan would allow for buildings that are substantially smaller than what should be zoned for the area around a subway station. The draft plan does not allow for nearly enough housing and is not an effective use of the tax payer resources being spent on light rail in that area.

Every person who lives in Seattle is paying taxes into that Light Rail system and this is one of the only subway stations we're likely to see in Seattle in our lifetimes. Itd be a massive wasted opportunity, as well as a waste of tax payer money, to build a $5 billion subway line and only allow a few hundred more units of housing.

Please consider a more ambitious plan for the Roosevelt station area that will ensure the citizens of Seattle get a better value for the transit system we are paying for.

Sincerely,
The Undersigned

45. Chris F | I recognize the constraints that the dominant single-family zoning in the area imposes, but the proposed 40-foot zoning along 65th should all be changed to 65' at minimum.
