Take Two and 2k Gaming Consideration

We, the undersigned gamers of the sim football community, would like to petition Take Two Interactive and 2k Sports to reconsider its position in the video football gaming market.

It is known that NFL 2k5 and APF 2k8 are no longer being produced but let it also be known that both games were the epitome and embodiment of what video simulation football can and should be. Let it also be known that due to licensing agreements there is no longer any competition in the manufacturing of video football games. Losing this competition greatly curtailed any advancement or quality of video football gaming on a sim level.

It is to this end that we petition Take Two and 2k Sports to reconsider its position and give the fans a greatly needed reprieve of having only one choice for video football gaming. We ask that Take Two and 2k consider making another video football game that we feel will rival if not surpass the one choice on the market today. We ask that Strauss Zelnick (CEO), Lainie Goldstein (CFO), & the powers that be at Take Two and 2k reconsider and let the incredibly creative people behind NFL 2k5 and APF 2k8 give us the enjoyment of a sim football game once again.

Short of that we would ask that you would consider allowing the members of the sim community the ability to mod APF 2k8 ourselves. We ask you to consider the impact Half-Life had on the mod community when Counter-Strike sprung forth. We understand that there are pitfalls to such a gesture but we also understand that there can be many symbiotic benefits to such a move. One of which would be building a strong and vibrant fan base (the sim community) without actually building a new game. It is with our signatures as one voice we ask that you consider the above proposals.
