The Curse at The Clubhouse [Phoenix, AZ]

***Before I write anything, just want people to know that this is a big big "MAYBE", but hopefully through this petition, plans for this may come true.***

Hopefully you guys all know who The Cure are, if not, here's a brief summary: They've been this really kickass, inspirational, and influential band that has had a career for almost three decades. They have come up with many wonderfully amazing classic songs that will remain with us for a long time. Such as, "Boys Don't Cry", "Just Like Heaven", "Friday I'm In Love", "Lovesong", and many more. That list was just for people who may not have heard of them, but they have so much more to offer.

Well, in Los Angeles, California, there is a Cure cover band called The Curse. They put on a really great show. I would know, I've seen them 6 times. They really capture The Cure's music and style. They've played at many small venues and clubs in the Southern California area. They've even been complimented and "approved" by Richard Blade.

Here is a brief story of The Curse as they put it:

The Curse was formed in 2003. Originally just an idea by singer Brian and guitarist Jesus while still in high school in the late 90's, today The Curse has become known as "The Ultimate Tribute to The Cure". The band has performed dozens of shows to thousands of fans over the course of 2 years, many of them being sold out shows in some of the top venues in Southern California including The House of Blues, The Henry Fonda Theatre, The Knitting Factory, and The Roxy. The Curse also headlined the 2005 80's Convention. During their 2 years playing together, The Curse's love for The Cure and their music has led them to learn and master over 70 of The Cure's hits, rarities, and even entire albums. Because of their dedication to remaining true to The Cure sound, their performances have won the respect of die-hard Cure fans, young and old. While The Curse makes no attempt to dress as The Cure, this well-dressed group usually in suits have won praise from such icons as Richard Blade who has said, "Close your eyes and you would swear you were in a small crowded London club in the early 80s with Robert and the boys playing away at the height of their power". Attend one performance and see for yourself what thousands of Cure fans already have. Witness the energy in the crowd, the love of The Cure, their music, and words as it fills the entire room. Perhaps then you too might call The Curse what others already have, The Ultimate Tribute to The Cure.

Well, here's the point. I'm making and writing this petition to see if any Cure fans in the Phoenix, Arizona area would be interested in having this great band play at The Clubhouse or The Marquee Theatre.

The only way they'd be able to play this show is if we could guarantee many people would show up. Honestly, you'll have a great time. Bring your friends, your family, heck even bring your grandma! They'll love it.

First off, I'd like to thank in advance the people who don't live near Phoenix, AZ that want to sign this petition. But this petition is for people who would actually go to the show. Thanks for your support and make sure to check out The Curse on their MySpace.
