This is a petition to re-draft the Pledge of Allegience for the United States of America. The re-write would have the pledger pledging his/her allegience to the country (The United States Of America) and not the flag. The re-write would also make no mention to any religion or beings of worship.
One version may be, but is not limited to:
"I pledge allegience, to the country, of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
