As Americans, we have a legal right to worship as we choose. However, in an attempt to equalize the religious playing field, prayer to God has been outlawed. Nowhere in the Constitution do the words separation of church and state appear. As a matter of fact, the only constitution that these words ever appeared in was the Communist constitution of the old USSR. By eliminating a chance for prayer in school, the United States Congress has abridged the rights of a certain religious group, Christians, to worship freely. I have never seen, in any school district, system, or individual campus that I have been on, a teacher FORCING the students to pray. I have never heard a student say that they feel isolated by not praying. With recent attempts to remove One Nation Under God and In God We Trust, national sayings since the late 1770s, and the removal of the Ten Commandments, the laws on which the laws of the United States of America are founded on, and the removal of the cross from the seal of the city of Los Angeles, CA while leaving the pagan goddess Pomona in the center of the seal, Christians are being discriminated against. Either remove ANY and ALL religious symbols including Greek and Roman mythological characters, pagan symbols, and any symbol referencing any religion or allow Christians the same rights given to non-Christians.
