Due to recent events at Alton Towers, Stephen and Suzanne Roper have decided to try and cancel the Alton Towers Fireworks and Laser Display for good. What they fail to realise is that its the local economy would suffer really badly. Local businesses and Alton Towers would lose a significant amount of money causing most of the business to the local community of Alton and surrounding areas to drop by aprox 500,000 for the 4 week period during October. This includes B&B's, Self catering establishments, local shops and anyone else that has custom from Alton Towers before and after the park opens and closes to the public during the fireworks events.
If the Ropers also win, this could set a president for other organised fireworks displays in other parts of the UK.
I would like to sign this petition to show support for Alton Towers and the local businesses which will suffer as a result of this court case if the Ropers win.
