The U.S. Department of Veterans to Expedite Filipino Veterans Claims & for the U.S. Congress to Restore Section 4 of SB 1315 for the Filipino Veterans & for Family Reunification

Since the February passage of the Filipino Veterans compensation in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) have only processed less than 10\% of the filed claims. Only less than 3,000 out of the 34,000 claims have been processed in six months. The Filipino veterans have waited for 63 years for these benefits. Are they gong to have to wait for 63 more years? Equity delayed is equity denied.

We demand that the DVA expedite the process of Veterans Claims. We demand the U.S. Congress restore the provisions in SB 1315 to the Filipino Veterans, the full recognition and benefits for the last surviving veterans, for the widows and relatives of the Filipino World War II Veterans.

We demand the US government provide justice and equity to the surviving 35,000 Filipino World War II Veterans who served valiantly the United States during the Second World War. They deserve recognition. They deserve respect. They deserve their benefits.
