Being just one person, I feel that this Petition for a solution towards the recent gas spike is the only sutable thing I can do about this situation, besides bicker about it with my peers, as many people that will read this Petition has done. I know many residents have negative feelings towards this subject, but I believe that the best solution is to is sign this petition. I plan to send this petition to Tony Wong, who is the Liberal MP of my area, which would be Markham. Being the Liberal MP of my area, he represents my voice in the house of commons in front of the other MPs. As a voter and a resident of Markham, I am requesting that he would bring this petition to the house of commons to question the recent hike in gas prices. As an earner of minimum wage, the spike in gas prices is making transportation harder for me to travel to work, which is downtown Toronto, which would also involve waiting through traffic.I would like to learn more about why this spike has occured, and how come the Canadian government has done nothing to help their residents out, espically when gas prices go through a double tax, which would be the "gas tax", and GST. My hopeful outcome from this petition would be to have something done to help the Canadian residents that are in the same situation as I am. I hope that many Markham residents sign this petition to show the Government that something needs to be done. If nothing is done, it will show that the Liberal Government's actions does not reflect the citizens of their own country.
I would also like to encourage any Canadian resident in their area to start a similar petition to this, to be sent to their MP, so we could have some answers, and something done about this problem.
