Local and national suicide indicators were "reluctantly" withdrawn in 2008, then National Suicide Prevention Strategy was withdrawn. During a Parliamentary Debate last October, Health Minister Paul Burstow informed the debate that a new National Suicide Prevention Strategy would "be published in Spring 2011".....its not happened yet and unless National and local indicators are also reinstated there will be no audited figures to inform Strategy and keep it active. PUBLISH NEW NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION STRATEGY AND REINSTATE LOCAL AND NATIONAL SUICIDE INDICATORS
