This petition is to request the release of the long-awaited Guns N' Roses album "Chinese Democracy." After many years of speculation and alleged release dates, this record - the most expensive ever made (over $13 million in production fees at last available estimation) - has yet to see the light of day.
We, as long-time Guns N' Roses fans, hereby request that Geffen, Sanctuary, or whoever owns the rights to the album at this point, stop screwing their fans. We were told a year ago that the album was finished and ready to be released, but we have yet to see it.
We understand there are many issues to take into account, and we are not naive enough to simply request the album be released immediately because we are tired of waiting. But, contrary to what some people may think, there are still GN'R fans out there who wish to hear this record regardless of Axl Rose being the only original member left in the band. We want our voices to be heard, and by signing this petition we are not merely asking for this record to be released - we are showing our support for Guns N' Roses no matter what.
Please, release this album. Be honest with fans. The signatures below indicate just how many people care enough to buy this album.
