A Sinfonia Cultura da Fundaзгo Padre Anchieta й uma orquestra que deve sua existкncia regente maior da histуria brasileira: Eleazar de Carvalho. Certa vez, durante uma das crises da orquestra, Eleazar fez um comentбrio que, para os que com ele trabalhavam, entrou para a histуria: " Nunca vi um paнs fechar, mas hб sempre de haver uma primeira vez" . Sбbio maestro.

O custo da Sinfonia Cultura й baixнssimo, e tem em suas mгos o poder de, via TV, iniciar a juventude (e contemplar os adultos) na boa mъsica, de forma brincalhona - a exemplo do piloto jб gravado "Clбssicos e Populares", pronto para ir ao ar. O alcance desta inovaзгo, em formato inйdito, poderia ser enorme. A SC й tambйm a ъnica orquestra do paнs que se dedica а mъsica brasileira, essa forma moribunda de arte que tanto deve incomodar os que preferem estimular formas de se fazer dinheiro fбcil com ritmos ridнculos e letras ignorantes. Para esses, hб sempre de haver um espaзo na TV e no Rбdio.

A missгo do estado - aqui entendido como poder pъblico em todos os nнveis - й apoiar, sustentar, estimular prioritariamente os meios que efetivamente nos tirarгo apecha de terceiro mundo, um imenso Haiti com um punhado de dachas e palбcios nas grandes capitais, gente que freqьenta as besteiras de elite com sorriso culto e vistas grossas para a educaзгo, a violкncia, a prostituiзгo infantil e toda sorte de desgraзa de cuja culpa compartilhamos. Sу deixaremos de ser piada como paнs de esgoto e cйu aberto e aviгo presidencial de fazer curvar a Europa quando nos dermos conta de que Cultura й o principal elemento para as mudanзas que todos, independentemente de credo polнtico, partidos, religiхes, tanto alardeamos.

O fechamento brusco de uma orquestra й um passo enorme e precedente rumo ao genocнdio cultural deste paнs que tanto amamos.

Sr. Governador, senhores deputados, artistas, imprensa: nгo vamos deixar fecharem, pouco a pouco, este paнs. Mantenham viva, a qualquer custo, a Sinfonia Cultura, que й pбgina de frente da Histуria da Mъsica do Brasil. Й tambйm a ъnica orquestra de rбdio do paнs. Й a nossa sъplica (sу nos resta suplicar), que endosso.

Colegas: escrevam (com cуpias para os e-mails acima) e divulguem. A internet salva vidas, por que nгo salvar um patrimфnio nacional?

ENGLISH VERSION

The Sinfonia Cultura of the Fundaзгo Padre Anchieta is an orchestra which owes its existence to the greatest conductor of brazilian History, Eleazar de Carvalho (former assistant conductor of Sergei Koussevitzky and former director of the Berkshire Music Center in TAnglewood). Once, during one of the old orchestras crises, Eleazar made a statement which, for all those who worked with him, became historical: "I never saw a country fold, but there can always exist the first time". Wise maestro.

The budget of the Sinfonia Cultura is ridiculously low, and the orchestra has the means, via TV, to introduce youngsters (also contemplating adults, at the same time) to good music, in a joyful way - a good example is the recently recorded (but still not released) premiere of "Classicos e Populares", with the Sinfonia, program which is ready to start. The range of this inovation, which has a unique format, could be enormous. The SC is also the only brazilian orchestra devoted to brazilian music, and the only radio orchestra in the country. Brazilian music is this mourning form of art which annoys so much those who want to make easy money with ridiculous pseudo-rythms and ingorant lyrics. For those, there will always be room on TVs and radios.

The mission of the State - here understood as public government in all levels - is to support, stimulate the means which will effectively erase the picture of a third world country, an enormous Haiti with a bunch of dachas and castles in the major capitals, people who support the silliest high society charm with a "cult" smile, while blind to bad education, violence, child protitution and all sort of disgrace, sin and blame we all share. We can only hope to stop being a joke for the world as an "open-air drain country" with a new presidential airplane that makes Europe ashamed the day we understand that Culture is the foremost element which will lead us to the changes we all, independent form ideologies, parties, religions, aim so much.

The sudden folding of an orchestra is an enormous step towards the cultural genocide of the country we love so much.

Mr. Governor, counselors, artists, press: let us not allow this country to be gradually "folded". Keep alive, with all available means, the Sinfonia Cultura, which is a front page of brazilian music history. It is also the only radio orchestra in the country. We implore (thats what we have left) that will continue. Give the Sinfonia the support it deserves to pursue de future the country deserves.
