In the wake of the untimely death of racing legend Dale Earnhardt, we believe that it is necessary to find a proper way to say 'thank you' to Mr. Earnhardt.
The idea of retiring his infamous #3 has been thrown around, and I believe it is a good idea. However, we believe that painting the pace car black, and with a #3 on the side, a la Dale Earnhardt, would be very fitting; Dale will lead all other drivers around the track.
Dale may have been the best stock car driver in history, and certainly, nobody who met him or had their life touched by him will ever be the same. Please take this into consideration. A black, #3 pace car, leading the field of 43 cars down to the green flag at the Daytona 500 next year. I believe it is only fitting, for Dale will always live on in our memories and in our hearts.

i certainly dont like the way nascar seems to favor hendrick racing if it continues i will be watching something else, and i have been involved in racing since the late 1960s, i knew benny parsons when he was in arca,thats how long i have been a fan thank
