We, the members of the Miramonte High School community, are concerned with the release of Mr. Jaime Fernandez from the school faculty. Mr. Fernandez has been an excellent addition to the Miramonte faculty, well respected, and much appreciated by his students, coworkers, and the parents of the school community. By all accounts, he is an excellent teacher, and it would be detrimental to the school to lose him.
While we understand that the district faces many pressures, it is truly unfortunate when such a talented, passionate educator can not be retained in our school system.
On behalf of the community, we petition you to find a way to retain Mr. Fernandez as a member of the Miramonte High School faculty.

i dont think i have ever had such a hands on teacher. why drop somone who is so passionate about what they do, and never take a break. when there are teachers who dont even know what they are talking about.

Mr. Fernandez is an excellent teacher - he is passionate and excited about teaching and really inspires/motivates his students to go beyond memorizing dates/facts. It would be a huge loss to lose such a valuable member of the Miramonte staff.

I am very sorry to hear that Mr. Fernandez has been let go. He was the highlight of my Senior son, Max Mayeri's academic day this past semester for US Government. We are loosing a great teacher, mentor and coach.
