A Petition for Upgrades to the Xbox 360 Elite

To Microsoft,

The April 29th, 2006 release of the Xbox 360 Elite will leave current Xbox 360 owners out in the cold. Many of us purchased an Xbox 360 in good faith, expecting it to be the best, and only, Xbox 360 system available for several years. People who bought the Premium had everything from the start. Core users could buy the premium accessories seperately at their own pace.

With the inclusion of an HDMI port with the upcoming Xbox 360 Elite, Microsoft will be giving purchasers of that system an option that existing users simply cannot upgrade to, along with a hard disk drive with six times more space. All for only $80 more than people paid for the Xbox 360 Premium Bundle which did not include an HDMI port and offered a 20 gig hard drive.

This petition humbly requests that you give all current Xbox 360 users the option to upgrade to the Xbox 360 Elite system, at a reasonable cost. As "early adopters", we have supported your system for the last year and a half, helping to increase your userbase to the highest of any next-gen system. We feel it is only fair that we are not required to spend upwards of $200, after trade-ins of the system, hard drive and controller, to upgrade to what will be the best Xbox 360 system available.

Please consider this request and find a way to make it work.
