Amendment to MSA Section P Pump Fuel Definition
Sign Now
We believe that the MSA's enforcement of the existing Section P definition of pump fuel is not in the best interest of competitors and the sport at all levels.
We believe that the existing definition does not accurately reflect the quality of pump fuel on sale in Britain today, and leaves crews exposed to the risk of ineligibility through the use of commercially available pump fuels, as no guarantees are given in respect of maximum octane nor imposed by the relevant British Standards.
We believe that disparity with the FIA in this area puts competitors at a distinct financial and sporting disadvantage, and will alienate crews who compete internationally.
We therefore respectfully request that the definition be amended to reflect FIA Appendix J Article 252 with immediate effect.
