1. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (a.k.a., Wal*Mart, Walmart, and hereinafter referred to as Wal-Mart) purchases a very large percentage of products for resale which are made in China;
2. Wal-Mart also purchases products for resale which are made in the United States of America (USA);
3. A significant percentage of exports from China are destined for resale through Wal-Mart;
4. The economic growth of China incurs costs borne by citizens and residents of the USA, with the bulk of such costs borne by the lower- and middle-income classes, such as through increased gasoline prices from fuel demand competition from China, and the movement of low- and medium-income jobs to China;
5. China is a Communist country with strict controls over its citizens and residents which are sharply different from the values of liberty held dear in the USA; and,
6. Citizens and residents of the USA who buy from Wal-Mart may disagree strongly with their money going to support a Communist country that grows at the expense of the USA,
We hereby request and demand that Wal-Mart permanently set aside at least one aisle in each retail location, to be named the American Aisle, which features (and contains exclusively) products made in the USA. This aisle should provide a variety of products and should be marked with signage and/or decorations to highlight its purpose. Prices on products in this aisle must not be artificially marked up, nor do they need to be artificially marked down. This is not a request for a fiscal subsidy for products made in the USA, but the "American Aisle" will help current and future Wal-Mart shoppers locate and purchase products made in the USA.
