An Apology From Tom Leykis and KLSX

We, the fans of NASCAR racing, demand an apology from Tom Leykis and KLSX radio Los Angeles for the insensitive, inaccurate, and demeaning statements made on radio broadcasts aired on February 19th, 20th and 21st, 2001.

We take exception to Tom's depiction of NASCAR fans as uneducated, in-bred, tobacco-chewing residents of trailer parks.

Further, we are outraged at comments made regarding Dale Earnhart's untimely death during the Daytona 500 on February 18th, 2001.

We fully expect a retraction of the above-mentioned comments, and a clear, concise and sincere apology to the family and friends of Dale Earnhart, and to the NASCAR community in general.
