To the News Stations of America and the World:
We feel that the conflict and genocide in Darfur is not getting enough media attention. Militia trained by the Sudanese government are killing, raping, and torturing innocent victems in a genocide similar to the one in Rwanda. Last year, on the 10 year anniversary of the Rwanada genocide, the United Nations and leaders worldwide promised to never forget, and to never let it happen again. Unfortunately, people have forgotten. 600,000 innocent people are already dead in this conflict, and it is going to get a lot worse if the media keeps ignoring it. We request that you and your station dedicate some stories to Darfur. Too much time is wasted on lesser stories, such as celebrity trials or what celebrity is dating whom, or the latest place someone has been spotted. We respect the news media of America, but we request that you let the world know about this horrible tragedy

I think atrocities such as these should be given as much attention as possible so that we as citizens of the world can put pressure on our leaders to try and put a stop to it .
