1.Contests for merchandise, tickets, meet and greets and loads of other items that will make your friends green with envy
"Monthly contests into which Fan Community members are automatically entered, offering prizes and special opportunities that members value such as merchandise, autographs, fly away trips to see Backstreet Boys live in concert, concert tickets, and special event access: sound checks, studio visits, meet and greets, sit-ins at interviews, sit-ins at video shoots and more."
2.Special Advance Access to Tickets
"When touring, Backstreet Boys will be selling an allotment of each North American show's tickets directly to their Fan Community members, instead of through a standard ticket distributor. Members of Weird World will be offered these direct sale tickets in advance of the general public. Tickets purchased through Weird World are limited to 4 tickets per member, per show. Upon joining, members are eligible to request tickets during a Backstreet Boys Ticket Ordering Period. Please note that at this time, Weird World can only ship tickets to addresses within the U.S. and Canada. Members living in countries outside the U.S. and Canada are eligible to participate in the Ticketing Order Period but must provide a shipping address within the U.S. and Canada.
No contests have been held. Only one meet and greet has been held. No items that will make [our] friends green with envy have been given. This is something that we were promised and it has not been delivered on.
Special Advance Access to Tickets was only offered to residents from the United States of America, Toronto (Canada) and Montreal (Canada). As advertised it should have occurred for ALL North American members. As of now, there are many members that will not be able to attend without paying brokerage rates, which are much higher than typical ticket prices. Again, something promised and not delivered on.
We realize you are not directly responsible for the activities and promises made by Music Today in your name. You should, however, realize that these promises are being made in your name and are reflecting on the Backstreet Boys' image. The people that have been mislead are your loyal fan base. Many of these people are very upset.
We are asking 3 things:
1.That you apologize for the way in which the members of your fan club have been treated.
2.That you honour the promises made by Music Today in your name.
3.Offer refunds to those members of your fan club community that wish them.
