The payment of $1 million -- or any amount of money -- to Paris Hilton in exchange for her first televised interview out of prison is outrageous. An already-wealthy heiress is being financially rewarded for going to prison. Even in our age of preposterous celebrity worship, this is offensive.
Therefore, I pledge I will not watch a single moment of the "Today" show on NBC the day the Paris Hilton interview will air. Not only will I not watch the Paris Hilton interview itself, I will not watch any part of the "Today" show that day. Actions have consequences and the shameless "journalists" at the "Today" show must understand that their actions will have a consequence.
