Hi.
I'm speaking for all the people who want the Silver Fang series brought back to life. For some reason only the Finnish 5-DVD collection is out, but not many people understand Finnish. I know I don't. Scanbox Entertainment say they're working on a Danish/Norwegian dub (which is the one I crave), but have set the release date to 31/12 2008, which seems to me a fictional date, just because they have no idea when they'll get started or get the bootleg copy to dub.
I've done a lot of searching on the net, and found that there is a great demand for this DVD-collection, so I don't really get what the problem is. Money can buy you anything, and I'm 100 percent sure that this collection will go straight into the DVD collections of many adults, because many of us saw it when we were kids, and still think it's the best series EVER!
Mind you the old VHS-version was strongly revised and a lot of bloody material was cut out (I know it was in the Danish version, I can't speak for any others), because they were meant for kids. I think there's even room for 2 versions. One for kids, and one for adults. Everyone knows about it, but they're nowhere to be found. They can't be bought anywhere anymore. There's a market for it, but noone dares to take the risk. GO FOR IT!
I hope this will be a kick in the behind for Scanbox to set this in motion, atleast for the Scandinavians. I strongly recommend everyone to e-mail a link to this petition to your respective country's home video entertainment providers, if you want them to consider it.
