It's a sad time at the Happiest Land on Earth. Fans of the wonderful Dapper Dans barbership singing quartet at Disneyland were appalled when the park in early 2006 abruptly terminated the long-standing quartet members and held auditions for four brand-new members to take over in May. One of the members replaced had been performing with the group for over 20 years, and most of the rest of the group had been with them over 10 years. The Dapper Dans have been a tradition at Disneyland since they were originally began performing at the park since 1959. While we recognize that membership in the group is subject to change, terminating the group in this manner and coldly replacing them brings a tone of sadness to the Happiest Place on Earth. We strongly request that Disneyland bring back Shelby Grimm, Jim Campbell, Bill Lewis and Bob Hartley, the four men who comprised the most recent Dapper Dans until their termination. They are the Dapper Dans we know and love.
