Bring JetBlue to Michigan

JetBlue has proven success in the seven years since they have begun operations from New York/JFK and we feel that the travelers of Michigan will benefit greatly from the increased competition. There are not many airlines that fly from Michigan to the New York City area directly.
Northwest Airlines, from it Northwest WorldGateway in Detroit offers the most flights to all 3 major New York Area airports (JFK, LGA, EWR). They also offer one daily departure to New York/LGA from Gerald R. Ford International Airport. American Airlines, through its' regional airline partner American Eagle offers two daily departures also from Gerald R. Ford International Airport to New York/LGA. Continental Airlines, through its regional airline partner, Continental Express offers two daily departures to New York/Newark.
An example of an airport that lack service to the New York area is Flint, MI. We feel that JetBlue could be supported in service from mainly either from Detroit Metro (DTW) and Flint Bishop (FNT). With JetBlue's product and low fares, this would increase competition in Michigan which would greatly benefit the common and business travelers.
