Bring Kimberly McCullough back to General Hospital

Every so often a soap opera runs across a character and/or actor that brings so much to the show and means so much to the fans. This naturally and happily occured with Kimberly McCullough's Robin Scorpio.

Kimberly McCullough appeared on our screens 17 years ago as tiny and spunky Robin Scorpio. As daughter to the famous Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio, she proved that she was every bit Devane and Scorpio, and the fans fell in love with her. With her vibrant personality and love of life she brought joy to our lives and brought tears to our eyes when we saw the heartache brought to this precious child. She experienced the death of her grandmother, her step-father, and her own parents. Robin was barely entering her teenage years and had already suffered so much heartache that it was all but natural for the fans to feel and care for her.

Then came one of the most tragic times of Robin Scorpio's life. She did what every teenage girl does: she fell in love. With Stone Cates she was happy, excited, rebellious, and above all else, thrilled with this new chapter in her life. However, this time turned tragic when she learned that Stone was HIV positive and dying from AIDS complications. But Robin triumphed through it. She stood by Stone's side and fought with him all the way. Then came the news: Robin herself was HIV +.

Having to deal with the death of Stone and her HIV + status she wondered what there was to move on to. There is only so much tragedy that one person can handle. And then one fateful night on a bridge, she met Jason Morgan. He helped her to see that she had a future, and together they shared a beautiful romance and proved that being HIV + does not mean that there is no hope.

Robin Scorpio is a symbol of hope. She proves to everyone that an HIV + person can still have a normal life. When Robin left the show, some of that hope faded, and some of the heart and emotions of the show were lost. With her return to the show, she can continue to prove to everyone that you can be HIV + and still live a happy and full life.

The storyline possibilites with Robin Scorpio are huge. An adventure story that brings Anna Devane and Robert Scorpio HOME to Port Charles. A rekindled romance with love Jason Morgan can prove wonderful. With this story you can show that an HIV + woman can have a child and be a successful doctor and have a love life with the man she loves. Robin has ties to almost everyone in Port Charles: including the Quartermaines, Spencers, Cassadines, the mob, the police, etc.

Kimberly has proven to be a sure ratings winner when she returned to ANOTHER soap (AMC) and reunited with her mother Anna Devane and their ratings went up. Fans were left crying and wanting more. Kimberly/Robin continues to win viewer voted polls in the Soap magazines even three years since she left. Together, Robin and Jason continue to win most romantic couple honors in magazine polls and recently won the "Best Supercouple Right Now!" poll in SOAP OPERA DIGEST.
