In this season, Spike was finally beginning to develop into a respectable character. Now, little by little he is losing everything that he has worked so hard to achieve. Everyone is rejecting him left and right. Even the Scoobies, and they were his semi-friends.
What I find interesting is that Anya isn't getting the same treatment. Anya, afterall, was a demon for many centuries, and she shows no remorse for any of it. Because she's human now? It makes no sense that anyone would treat Spike like this for the simple fact that he is a vampire. Throughout the seasons, the Scoobies have accepted several beings who are not fully human. Anya has already been mentioned, but do Oz the Werewolf, Angel the Souled Vampire, or Tara and Willow the Witches ring a bell? If not, how about Giles the Ripper, Faith the Murderer, or Darla the Vampire? At one point or another, these characters have all been forgiven for their acts. Angelus was even eventually forgiven. Why then, is it that Spike is still looked down on when he has proven time and again to have more emotions than most of the humans on the show?
The fans of BtVS are highly upset with the route that this season Spike-wise has taken. Spike is the main reason that the show is so enjoyable to watch. All of the BtVS fans on the Spike lists love Spike and I know for a fact that all the people on the S/B lists want them together. Even though a large number of us can't stand Buffy.
We as fans of BtVS sincerely hope that you take our feelings into consideration in the upcoming episodes. Thank you for reading.

BUFFY AND SPIKE RULE!!!!!!!! I think that Spike is perfect for Buffy. Angel and Buffy were great but she's grown up. Spike is more capable of a mature adult relationship. I still LOVE Angel but right now Buffy needs Spike!
