We are shocked, appalled and dismayed!

Bihar and Biharis are offended by the unethical treatment of the media stories on many national television channels.

Media should refrain from stereotyping of Bihar and give up its laziness which prompts it to cover sensational stories instead of research based stories which improves the quality of life of the people. Media has always been biased towards, rich, powerful, urban, upper caste/class and males. Bihar is a poor state and hence the most gullible target to be used in anyway the media wants to. It is not unusual to find storiesfrom Bihar that are often in extreme bad taste and most of the time unethical.

Killing of four people for stealing buffaloes
Manoj Mishra's self immolation
BN College professor's love affair
and n number of sex and infidelity stories reported in the recent past are just to list down the sories covered in last two months only. And there are many more.

When we watch these stories, the first reactions are:
'Oh no. Not again from Bihar'
'Why is the meadia enjoying a freehand in treating the stories the way they want to?'
'Why are we so helpless in protesting such unethical trends in Media?'

I request you to kindly sign the petition so that we can atleast attempt to change the situation for the better by registering our protests.

Please read one of the articles that I came across on bias against Bihar on the follwing link.
