Call for a New Investigation into the Events of September 11, 2001

We are writing this letter to call your attention to evidence that has been gathered by many experts surrounding the horrific events of September 11, 2001 in the United States of America. There are countless numbers of citizens from all walks of life including hundreds of engineers, professors, architects, military officers, lawyers, law enforcement and government officials, entertainment and media professionals, 9/11 survivors and family members who have serious questions concerning the legitimacy of The 9/11 Commission Report. It is a severe injustice, not only to the thousands of victims of that event, but also to the hundreds of thousands of victims of subsequent wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan to ignore this evidence.

Evidence

Dr. Steven E. Jones, Former Professor of Physics, of Brigham Young University, has written an extensive scientific analysis of the collapse of the World Trade Centre (WTC) Buildings 1, 2 and 7. Here is a summary of his evidence:

- WTC7 which was not hit by an airplane and had only a few small scattered fires collapsed rapidly and nearly-straight-down symmetrically into its own footprint on September 11, 2001.

- There were twenty-four huge steel support columns inside WTC 7 as well as huge trusses, arranged non-symmetrically, along with some fifty-seven perimeter columns.

- Evidence of squibs observed during the collapse of WTC7 going up the side of the building in rapid sequence provides further confirmation of explosives.

- In the history of architecture, there is no modern, steel-reinforced high-rise building that has ever collapsed because of an uncontrolled fire. The owner, Larry Silverstein, admitted that WTC7 was pulled which is an industry term for controlled demolition.

- The temperature required to melt steel is 1510 C while the maximum burning temperature of hydrocarbon fires is 825C. (Note: Oxygen-starved diffuse flames burn far cooler as the dark smoke indicated, particularly in the South Tower, and are well below 800C.)

- Evidence of molten steel was found in the basements of all three buildings, WTC 1, 2 (Twin Towers) and 7 which glowed red hot for weeks after the event.
Numerous reports of multiple loud explosions in rapid sequence being heard in and near the WTC Twin Towers consistent with explosive demolition.

- Horizontal ejection of steel beams for hundreds of feet and the pulverization of concrete to flour-like powder observed in the collapses of the WTC Towers further indicate the use of explosives.

- Evidence of iron-rich microspheres found in the dust collected near ground zero shortly after 9/11 indicate steel reached temperatures much higher than the combustion temperature of jet fuel. (This, too, is consistent with planned demolition.)

- The speed of the collapses was at near free fall speed. This violates the law of conservation of momentum (one of the foundational laws of physics). There would have been substantial delay if the pancake theory were true.

- If the buildings collapsed due to the impact of the airplanes and the fires, as the pancake theory claims, the 47 massive core steel columns in the centre of the Twin Towers would still be standing.

- The WTC Twin Towers were built to withstand the impact of a large commercial aircraft even a Boeing 707 as reported by John Knapton, Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Newcastle.

The official story of the Bush administration simply does not make sense as the foregoing scientific evidence clearly reveals. We are attaching an Appendix to our letter setting out further contradictions and evidence from Dr. David R. Griffin. This evidence suggests that 9/11 was a false flag operation. Based on this evidence, we are calling for a legally binding international criminal investigation into the events of September 11, 2001. Thousands of innocent civilians including 24 Canadians died in this tragic event. 9/11 was one of the most pivotal events in human history. The United States has launched an unending War on Terror which threatens the future of humanity. War is itself an act of terror.

There remain many unanswered questions but so far the evidence speaks for itself. The Bush administration used this tragic event to further its goals in the Middle East and Central Asia, namely, for control over its vast oil and natural gas reserves, the projection of American power and control over the region, profits for the military-industrial complex, and the forced inclusion of those nations into the global financial/economic system.

Consequences of 9/11

The current Conservative government and prior Liberal governments, using 9/11 and the war on terror, have engaged in an illegal war of aggression in Afghanistan in support of a government dominated by warlords and druglords. We are seeing the erosion of civil liberties in Canada, such as, our military's complicity in the use of torture; anti-terrorism laws; racial profiling; the use of Security Certificates which according to Amnesty International falls dismally short of what would be required to meet minimal international and constitutional fair trial guarantees; detention without trial; no-fly lists; militarization of the police forces; and government harassment of activists.

In violation of our sovereignty, the government is implementing regional integration under the Security and Prosperity Partnership agreement which was established in secret without the consent of the people. This agreement effectively gives control over every aspect of our society to an unelected and unaccountable supranational body. The Canadian and US Military have been integrated under NORTHCOM.

Conclusion

We are calling upon you to establish a citizen led international investigation into the events of 9/11 and an end to Canadas involvement with US war crimes. Canada needs to develop its own foreign, economic and social policies which promote co-operation, peace, and stability for the sake of our nation and the rest of the world.

A 2004 Zogby poll indicates that 63\% of Canadians believe the US administration had advance knowledge of the strikes and did nothing about it. (http://www.zogby.com/search/ReadNews.dbm?ID=855) Let us assure you that most of the public knows the truth and are undergoing an awakening. When this awakening reaches its natural conclusion, we fully expect there to be trials at the International Court in the Hague after which many people will go to prison.

We expect you to respond to our letter in support of a new investigation. We are not asking you to take a position as to who did it or why, only to state that the official investigation was deficient and that you support a new investigation. This is your opportunity to take a stand for justice and against Canadas involvement with US war crimes. The stakes are high and whether you know it or not you are standing at the crossroads of history.

We are sending an original of this letter to each leader of the four sitting parties and the Green Party with a copy to each Member of Parliament. Enclosed with each original letter is a DVD entitled 9/11 Mysteries which shows a detailed scientific analysis of the destruction of the WTC Twin Towers and Building 7.
