Change in road Layout and Safety/Preventive measures in place on Whitton Avenue East - North West London

We, the residence on Whitton Avenue East road, urge council to review road layout specially where the pedestrian crossing island is in front of house number 236. We, the residence, would like to remove it because we believe it makes driving condition very difficult in such a narrow road. Two serious accidents have happened in last two months at the island crossing.
We, the residence, urge council to get some safety/preventive measures (humps and speed camera) in place on the raod to prevent cars going above 30mph. After witnessing two serious accidents in just about two months time at this location, we the residence do not feel safe going out for a walk or taking our kids for cycle rides on pavement area even.
