Change the English National Anthem Please!





Are you sick of God Save the Queen?


Are you sick of the half-arsed attempts by our sports stars to sing the national anthem?


Trouble is, it isnt their fault. We have the most boring, dull, uninspiring hymn. It doesnt make us very proud or patriotic of our country.





We, as a country have changed in our attitudes towards the Royal Family. We no longer look up to them with much respect do we agree? So why on Earth do we sing praise to them as a national anthem? Get with the times England! Change the anthem, be proud to be English, be proud wearing the three lions, be proud screaming at our athletes knowing theyre as fired up as you, having sung their hearts out to a hymn that inspires belief and patriotism.


I therefore petition, the right to change out current National anthem from God Save the Queen to the more patriotic, more uplifting, more proud warming anthem of Jerusalem.
