We the undersigned note on this Petition the following:
1. We disagree strongly with the firing of Calgary City Auditor Tracy McTaggart.
2. Should the firing of the City Auditor be irreversible, the City of Calgary must not insist on the signing of a non-disclosure Agreement as a binding part of any severance package.
3. The City of Calgary must officially disclose the amounts held, initial intention, actual expenditure, and beneficiaries of all reserve funds that have been identified in the City Auditor's report.
4. The City of Calgary must release this information to the public no later than four weeks prior to the 2010 civic election.
5. Protections afforded under whistle-blower legislation notwithstanding, the City of Calgary must actively and aggressively help in the identification and prosecution of all city officials at every level who have been unlawful beneficiaries of any City contract, project or tender.
