By uncovering the River in the heart of Yonkers, this project would help give a major boost of the downtown and waterfront areas for generations to come. A tremendous win-win for the environment and the economy of Yonkers, Westchester County, and the Hudson River Valley, the project will be a lasting legacy of the Saw Mill River's role as the industrial centerpiece of the city's founding during the Dutch colonial period.
