In recognition of the day that Terry Fox started his Marathon of Hope in St. John's, NL, on April 12, 1980, by dipping his artificial foot in the Atlantic Ocean, and for the ensuing worldwide impact his national run has had and continues to have on the need for funding cancer research, we would like the Government of Canada to have April 12th annually declares to be Terry Fox Day.
