Demanding the resignation of Warraich from the Manitoba Islamic Association

Dear Mr. McFadyen : Peace be with you

We the under signed members of the Muslim Community of Winnipeg are disappointed that you in your address to the Muslim community on August 30th at the Eid prayer services stated that you were proud to have Dr. N. Warraich as part of your team for the next provincial election.

To state that you are proud to have someone like Dr. Warraich to be on your team is very offensive to the Muslim community. To us, Warraich is someone who has manipulated and destroyed the peace of the Muslim community. He is currently in the process of suing 12 innocent families of the Muslim community and continues to threaten others.

We also want you to be aware that Warraich attacked 3 members of the community right after the prayer service on the same day you spoke to the community on Eid. One of those attacked has filed a police report and others are considering doing so as well.

While the conservative party has the right to nominate any one they wish, we would sincerely hope that you would ask Dr. Warraich to resign from the Manitoba Islamic Association immediately so that he cannot have access to the associations account (while running his campaign) on which he has staked complete control in violation of the associations constitution. We strongly believe that he and the conservative party are in conflict of interest if he continues to hold the office of the president of Manitoba Islamic Association and the self-appointed chairmanship of the Pakistani Association while running for a public office on behalf of your party.
