Dr. Lamba As Next Governor General

We, the citizens of Canada, coming from diverse backgrounds, have seen that the validity of multi-cultural mosaic of Canada has been proven by the office of the Governor General having been graced by the persons from diverse ethnic backgrounds. We had Governors General from Ukraine, from China and from Haiti. There is a need to recognize the South Asian community which is a growing segment of the Canadian civilization and culture and is emerging a leading player but has yet to receive the recognition it deserves.
We request that to recognize this community, Dr. Bikram Lamba, the icon of South Asian community, be recommended to Her Majesty as a person who can be safely entrusted to safeguard the constitutional propriety of this exalted office.
Dr. Lamba, a well known political and business strategist with ample multi-faceted experience, is a fountainhead of knowledge, is a well known commentator, writer and broadcaster having comprehension of subtle cross-cultural issues. A reputed exponent of Canadian values, he can unite all the factions, and assist the government project a positive image on international scene. As an Ombudsman of National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada, he played an extremely proactive role in imbibing the Canadian values and building bridges.
As a political and business strategist, he can help growth of Canadian economy by promoting economic relationship with growing economy of India.
His enormous experience in the field of politics, his vision to bring the issues of immigrants who have settled in Canada into the limelight, his sensitivity towards newcomers, his desire to bring positive change, his exceptional intelligence and how he articulates with his gentle but powerful leadership approach impresses everyone.
In view of his capabilities, we desire that he be called upon to be Her Majestys representative. He does not belong to one community. He belongs to all the communities, as he is a uniting factor.
