The LDNPA (Lake District National Park Authority),
In March 2005 a 10mph ban was put on lake windermere
which stopped many power boaters from enjoying there hobby.
these power boater brought a great deal of money to local
businesses e.g. hotels, boat shops ,pubs etc.
also it supported car parks ,lake wardens etc
now the council is struggling to keep these services going
and trying to charge all boat owners in the lake district,
Its time to drop the 10mph speed limit and have a well
managed wealthy lake.
