We, the student body of Eastside Christian Academy, ask that a Student Council be established. There have been student councils for the past 2 years. We also would like a 1 hour time per week for a student council meeting.

We also request follow up and more open discussion on the following issues as they have been largely ignored for the most part:


Less severe penalties for scoring violations and amendments to the scoring violation penalty procedures

Better student representation regarding field trips and more field trips in general if possible.

Music Classes (And consideration towards Monday and Wednesday msuic classes/practices as was with the old music system in previous years. It is not enough just to play for chapel and have a 30 minute practice before hand. It is not physically possible to put together a decent musical performance without sufficient time to practice. The student body also requests that there be auditions for musical acts and various other acts for the upcoming Christmas Program. We need time to prepare our performances)

The possible reinstatement of Ipod music players

Group art classes as an option for older students

Increase in rewards as per the merit point system. (We can hardly buy anything with the merits we are receiving.) Or a reduction in the price of items at the merit store.

And other various matters.
