My name is Naim R.F. Flowers I am a life long resident of Newark, NJ and I am coming to you to ask for your help. My plan is to make the youth of Essex County responsible for the changes that are happening and will happened in their county. With your signature stating that you support my idea we can change Essex County one person at a time.
My plan is to reach the youth in this county that the system have given up on, forgotten, or just plan old dont want to deal with, and show them that they can make a difference, and yes they do matter. With their help we will build, rebuild and renovate housing units for those who need low-income housing, Give young children the chance to feel like they are doing something good for the community while teaching then life values. While in this program the participants will be given the chance to further their own educations, and pick- up on other skills along the way, like building their own self esteem and self worth, leadership skills, and take pride in their community. They will also receive mentoring from some of the county's professionals and see the difference that they make on a daily basis. Mentors will be available to all of the participants, and will field questions and give advice on handling some of the problems that are affecting our communities youth and Essex County as a whole.
