Fairness in Availablity for Individual Residents of Red Sox Nation

We, the undersigned, hereby request that the Red Sox front office makes a concerted effort to identify any and all tickets being sold for more than five (5) dollars above face value and revoke their granted license.
With the great love and devotion that Red Sox fans have shown throughout generations, it is imperative that the fan base those who have supported the team throughout highs and lows be given a reasonable chance to purchase tickets.
However, as the situation currently stands, a few big businesses and a small minority of private ticket holders are hording tickets in order to make a profit off of the vast majority of Red Sox Nation. This is not only immoral but is also illegal in most cases of private sellers.
We request that the Red Sox front office use every means possible to identify the date and seat of every ticket being sold online and through retail stores for more than five (5) dollars more than face value and declare those tickets invalid at the front gate.
This is not a risk-free move for the Boston team, but nothing worthwhile is without its share of risk. There is a chance that ticket agencies will sue the team, but imagine the publicity that would come from this course of events. The Red Sox front office standing up for fans against big business would be a publicity coup worth billions of dollars.
Such a policy will prevent most ticket re-sellers (legal and otherwise) to avoid buying tickets in the future, thereby leaving them for purchase by the vast fan base.
Ticket scalpers are committing crimes against Red Sox Nation and preventing many people from obtaining tickets to see the team we love to watch play.
We do not want to ask for a handout, merely the chance to get to breathe, smell and taste Fenway Park once again. We ask for the team to make sure that people, not big businesses, are the focus of the teams effort. We ask not for charity but for opportunity. Weve supported the team for years, and now we are asking to Red Sox to help us to help you.
